The muscles in our faces are always moving. Whether we are talking, speaking, singing or laughing our facial muscles are in constant use; this means that wrinkles and indentations appear. In fact, wrinkles appear on the face far sooner than the signs of ageing appear elsewhere. Though these start as fine lines and slight creases, they eventually become deeper and more prominent over time. The ageing process also creates fine lines and wrinkles due to the rate of our skin’s collagen production slowing down and skin loses its fullness, making fine lines and wrinkles a lot more prominent and obvious.
At Weybridge Dental Practice, we are able to reduce these signs of ageing with non-invasive dermal fillers and wrinkle correction treatments.
How Do Wrinkle Correction Injections Work?
This treatment is extremely quick and straightforward, which means there’s no need to worry about scheduling in time for recovery. Simply, small amounts of an injected substance containing botulinum toxin are administered to the targeted areas of your face and massaged. If you’re concerned about pain, we can use numbing cream. Once the treatment has been given, you’re free to go about your day as normal. However, we do suggest avoiding any strenuous activity for a short while afterwards.
What products are used for wrinkle correction injections?
Our highly skilled clinicians have been trained to use an array of specialist products including Bocoture® and Azzalure® all containing Botulinum Toxin. We will discuss each of these in more detail at your consultation.
Wrinkle removal injections can be used on different areas of the face. For example, wrinkle removal injections can remove frown lines around the brows and lines around the lips. Similarly, they can remove forehead lines, nose wrinkles and crow’s feet.
How Do Dermal Fillers Work?
Dermal fillers work in a number of different ways in many areas of the face, which makes them a fantastic anti-ageing treatment. They can reduce fine lines and wrinkles around your eyes and eyebrows, such as scowl lines, adding definition to and volume to your lips. They can reduce vertical lines around your lips, such as the vertical lines that highlight ageing also referred to as smoker lines. Dermal fillers can also lighten dark circles under your eyes and reduce the appearance of bony hands by softening them and adding fullness.
What products are used for dermal fillers?
The dermal fillers are carefully administered by our expertly trained clinicians and include Beloterro®, Restylane® and Juvederm®. The variety of products allows each clinician to tailor a specific treatment to suit your exact enhancement need for example if the skin is ageing due to age, sun exposure or dehydration. Most treatments see immediate results.
